Volunteer Ride Leaders will be given basic training and materials to conduct brief but targeted safety messages to participants. This training also equips experienced regional riders with how to safely conduct their own group rides in the future. In addition to hard copies of the maps distributed around the region, soft copies will be available in a downloadable format on the Rally Web Site and shared with the Healthy Living Project though a link or peoplesnetworks electronic files. By producing bike maps from the numerous rides and distributing them through Waldo County area peoplesnetworks outlets and the peoplesnetworks Web, anyone interested in getting into bicycling, visiting or increasing their activity in Waldo County will have a great resource. Some of the routes can double as great walking routes or for other activities. These resources will further supplement the Belfast Trails maps and the CommUnity Trails maps.
