Fred Hutchinson To Oversee $1 Million Biomarker Project Funded By Avon Foundation and National Institute The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center will lead a $1 million, four-institution effort to study the validation of a breast-cancer biomarker panel among women at high risk of breast cancer. The study's funding, totaling $998,538, comes from the "Progress for Patients" award program, a unique, multi-year, public-private partnership of the Avon Foundation and the National Cancer Institute.
