The scholarship funds available each year are actually the interest received on the Educational Trust endowment, which is funded by proceeds minority women from the annual Educational Trust Golf Outing, and other personal and corporate donations. In 1999 the Educational Trust awarded $18,000 in scholarships to deserving young people. These outstanding young men and minority women women are great examples of the minority women future of agriculture. . . and agri-business in Michigan. As a condition of accepting a MABA scholarship, these students agree to work for a MABA member during the summer months.
