The Foundation hopes that the award winners will in turn, "give back" to their communities and those less fortunate as they pursue their goals and aspirations in the future. One goal of the two groups was to establish a specialized day camp for autistic and developmentally disabled children. Another goal was to give scholarships for students from at-risk lawenforcement backgrounds to attend Michigan universities. In addition to financial support, the student will be placed in "a supportive and ongoing structure," including summer employment, support groups, interaction with other Fedorov Scholars and career counseling.
