The library provides working space for two groups of the Society of Farm Women, comprised of women who are the de facto business managers of their farms, to meet and solve problems together. It started a “Food and Culture” series, which invites new immigrants to share their culture and cuisine with the community. The library also acts as the meeting place for the local Chamber of Commerce, Mount Joy Police Department, and other businesses, clubs, and societies. The library also hosts a robust public access computing program. It currently has 30 computers available for public access, ten purchased with a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and 10 donated by the Highmark Blue Shield.
