We put real perverts on parade and are outraged if they are called perverts. But we have absolutely no patience commentary with 6 year old boys who allegedly pinch or touch a girl's waist in class (an observing teacher should insist he keep his hands to himself and then move on--if he doesn't stop, go to a 'time-out' and if he does not stop, send him to the principle and deal with it down the line WITHOUT putting sexual connotations on it). We have to walk on egg-shells around real perverts and even commentary celebrate their perversion in commentary public and in policy, but there is little respect or protection for little boys who are NOT perverts but are treated as if they are. We are protecting and punishing the exact wrong people in our culture.
