If saying God will "love you no matter what you've done" line doesn't work, be assured the next line out of their mouths will be, "if you don't repent your sins through Jesus Christ then you're going to Hell!". If they can't get you to see "their way" by "God's Love" then they'll try to scare the hell out of you! |

| I tried to point out that simply wasn't true. So here miscellaneous I am auguring with a 40-something year old man about a innocent Nancy Drew book and my miscellaneous mother is miscellaneous behind him shaking her head back and forth trying to get me to shut up. She didn't agree with him, but she KNEW there was NOTHING I could say to get him to see the book was just a teenage mystery novel.....nothing else. They have a strange way of thinking. All that conflict they had before becoming "born again" screwed with their heads. I guess they feel since they did "everything that crossed their minds" (and some of it is really disgusting), they think EVERYBODY ELSE will do (or has done) the same thing and it's their role in life to save everybody from committing the same horribly disgusting acts. What they don't seem to get is MOST people don't do the things they have done (or at least the really gross things they have done), would NEVER do them, and is in fact against most people's moral principles. |
