Black women are least likely to receive reperfusion therapy (44 percent), followed by black men (50 percent), white women (56 percent), and white men (59 percent). These findings are drawn from the medical records of nearly 27,000 white and black Medicare beneficiaries who were eligible for reperfusion therapy between February 1994 and July 1995.
